|Nancy's Yogurt Gelato|

You’ll be amazed by how simple this summer favorite is, get creative and add your own fresh fruit topping. We love raspberries on top!
At least one day before (and up to 2 weeks in advance) split a vanilla bean in half, place in a glass mason jar and fill the jar with powdered sugar, seal and store in a cool place. This sugar provides a more delicate fragrance than sugar and vanilla extract can provide.
To make gelato:
3 cups Nancy's whole milk organic yogurt, chilled
Pour yogurt into an ice cream or gelato maker and stir in the vanilla sugar or powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions for about 20 minutes. Serve with a loose textured berry jam or a berry sauce made from raspberries, marionberries, blackberries, loganberries, boysenberries, etc. cooked together with a small amount of sugar for 5 minutes (1 pint of berries with 2-3 tablespoons sugar).
